Dr. CJ Robinson, PhD
Dr. Robinson is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Knoxville area. With over a decade of experience in providing mental health services and treatment to people of all ages, Dr. Robinson is pleased to have the opportunity to be in private practice and offer high quality mental health care.
Dr. Robinson is a native of Eastern Kentucky and his Appalachian roots and values strongly inform his practice. Described as warm, genuine, and empathic, Dr. Robinson focuses on providing treatment for children as young as four, and adults of any age in a therapeutic atmosphere which focuses on genuinely welcoming the patient and creating a space to discuss issues.
Dr. Robinson completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Pikeville College, in Pikeville Kentucky. He holds dual Master’s of Science in Clinical Psychology from Morehead State University and Fielding Graduate University. Dr. Robinson was awarded his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University in 2011.
In addition to psychotherapy, Dr. Robinson has a strong background in psychological assessment—including ADHD, ADD, developmental disorders, personality and IQ, and a number of other specific need areas. He would be happy to schedule an initial intake session to meet and discuss your needs.

Julius Jefferies, LPC
Robinson Psychological Services is proud to announce that we have extended our counseling services! We welcome Julius Jefferies, LPC to the practice. Julius is a trained/certified death and dying doula, provides ADOS evaluations for autism (supervised and approved by Dr. Robinson) and carries state certifications as a Mandated Prescreening Agent for commitments as well as certification as an Autism Care technician. Mr. Jefferies enjoys working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and is particularly talented in helping people overcome obstacles in their lives when it involves grief, trauma, and personal growth.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mr. Jefferies is well-suited and certified to offer life coaching and training to address workplace diversity, preventing employee burnout and compassion fatigue among healthcare providers/caregivers. Mr. Jefferies also provides critical incident debriefing where a sudden trauma or loss involving a company’s workforce may be involved.
He is now accepting new appointments for counseling sessions and is working toward the final steps on getting on insurance panels.
Mr. Jefferies currently accepts TN Medicaid and he offers a competitive sliding fee scale.
